I love dracaenas. I think they sometimes get overlooked, ironically, because of their very ubiquity. Many here, myself included, find "the tropical look" appealing.  Large-leafed plants and palms are essential to that, of course, but a starburst of dracaena foliage can contribute beautifully to such a composition, harmonizing with palm leaflets but also providing a sort of punctuation: an asterisk of texture and subtle color just where you need it, supported by those pipe-cleaner stems.

Nice choices. Do post photos of any new additions to the family.

This is Dracena umbraculifera.  It was once thought to be extinct except in botanical gardens/private collections but was rediscovered in Madagascar in 2018 and is currently on the critically endangered list.

That’s a Beaucarnea, specifically Beaucarnea recurvata. They are from Mexico.

I have a huge Pony Tail "Palm" planted 17 years ago and the base is destroying my decking and retaining wall.  Will photo later today.
