So recently I've noticed some marks and damage on the base of my coconut palm. I would like to know if this looks like feeding or burrowing damage. I did find a picture on the internet of entry that looked similar in color and whatnot of palm weevils eating it I'd hope it's not any pest but can anyone tell me if something entered or is trying to enter.

I’m not 100% sure but that looks more like abrasion damage.

The horizontal line next to the removed old leaf base looks like someone put a clippers or loppers in there to slice the old frond off.  The pressure on the trunk caused some minor damage, which then later shows up as an indent in the trunk.  I'd guess it's just cosmetic.
