Somewhere around 1998 I got interested in palms.  At the time I was teaching Social Studies at Wai`anae High School on O`ahu.  Not sure when but one day I decided to plant a small Livistonia Chinensis out in front of the music building.  I retired in 2004 after 30 years there and today I went back for the first time to check on it.  WOWZER!  There are two there.  One is a lot taller and I wonder if if seeded and sprouted the other one in the picture.
