Can y'all help me figure out what this is on my office aloes? The little white bumps do scrape off with my fingernail, the deep scratches are...well.. deep scratches. Also did notice webbing and fuzz. These guys are super neglected and just sit in my office window and get watered maybe every week and a half or so, just whenever I think about it.

Bump.

Should I bring some insecticidal soap to the office? I need to bring these home to repot and separate the pups, but I don't want to do that until I get this under control....def don't want this to spread to my crowded little tiny jungle. Or is this normal for aloes?

The webbing could be from an actual spider. There is one who lives in my window. I made a deal with him - he gets to keep living as long as I don't see sugar ants again.

Not sure what would cause the scratches without it being an animal of some sort. Hopefully someone who has some actual knowledge about these can chime in.

Maybe it's scratching itself as it grows? She's got some teeth on her and they are very stabby.

Little white bumps aren’t scale or mealy bugs are they? Can’t tell from the pic…

I can't tell either. They'll scrape off with a little pressure but - as mentioned - the deep scratches are deep scratches. I just really don't want to bring pests to Patio or Indoor Squad. Should I just spray them down with insecticidal soap? At some point I do need to bring them home to split the pups from the mom's, but I don't want a whole outbreak of bugs.

Are they throwing gang signs at you when you look at them? Lol. No for sure bugs are no bueno. Insecticidal soap shouldn’t hurt an aloe….I don’t think.
The scratches could definitely be from growing against eachother…or a cat, or a potential free range homeless dude

There is an armored white aloe scale, it looks similar to the photo.  If you have a magnifying glass or jeweler's loupe you should be able to tell if it's actually a bug or some other random weirdness.

Could be insect damage, though nothing obvious sticks out, or scabs formed after self inflicted damage ( Spines on the leaf margins scraping against / poking into the undersides of nearby leaves.. )

That said, if you ever see tumor-like lumps developing on any  of your plants, Toss them immediately.. Don't waste $$ trying to treat it.  Aloe mite https://worldofsucculents.com/get-rid-aloe-mites-aloe-cancer/ is quite an issue and not always manged by some of the mass production nurseries.

Here’s the aloe at work that I water maybe once a month sometimes less. Weird, instead of clear pulp inside the leaves, it’s brown and stinks like a homeless guys feet424831BA-46FE-482F-BA3C-1C3575B3DBDD.thumb.jpeg.b1c5ecd0d9991d7d388b870f6c51e4c5.jpeg

Is that a Hercules?

My Walmsley Blue has a juice that's yellow and looks like pus and stains your shirts really bad.

Definitely not Hurcules..  Thin, cupping leaves is a sign it needs more water too.

The break room at work is currently experiencing severe drought, hasn’t rained in there for as long as I can remember 😂

Fine fine, but I’ll only admit to trying to replicate an aloes native habitat 😎😂
