This is today Sept. 10th. Some sort of small/ dwarf Sabal minor. Has 4 seed stalks with seeds starting to turn darker/ ripen. And shot a new inflorescence up 👀👇🏻493BBA81-2D42-46F0-B2BB-F08DEE3A711E.thumb.jpeg.3c997cceaf6992f615313e5870ac5991.jpegA bunch of us were talking about sabals cross pollinating, someone brought up different flowering times. I’ve never seen this happen on any other Sabal I’ve had flower. I’d have to look back I think it was end of May beginning of June when it originally flowered. Anyone else had this happen? 7C2E7FFE-544F-4255-B3E8-59826B20987A.thumb.jpeg.32aedb7cc0ad67733a1324bbf2b06c05.jpeg

I've got a bunch of Sabal minor and they all follow your schedule of blooming in the spring, usually pretty synchronized, but they're naturalized, so genetically closely related. I've never seen them bloom at any other time.

Could the one you've shown us here have been subjected to some sort of stress? Sometimes that will trigger blooming.

Hmm, season definitely changed a little bit. And the drought has been over for a while. We were over 90f and went without rain for almost 2 months. Back to high 80’s low 90’s and regular weekly rain. That’s the only thing stress wise that may have affected it.
