Washingtonia filifera in habitat - a few different locations in Anza-Borrego State Park, also the La Quinta Coconut

I've been doing some exploring, and got to see a few habitat sites for the Washingtonia filifera in Anza-Borrego State Park in San Diego County.

Random things: I saw two pretty large Jubaea chilensis in the ground in a nursery in Borrego Springs, CA! I didn't know they could handle the desert!

I also stopped by the coconut palm in La Quinta, CA, which appear to be doing well!

Also featured is probably the northernmost naturally occurring tree in the Burseraceae (Gumbo Limbo) family in California! Bursera microphylla or elephant tree.

Absolutely incredible! Thanks for the amazing pictures, those palm oases out in the desert are so cool. I have had the pleasure of visiting the 1,000 Palms Oasis and the 49 Palms Oasis on trips out to California, I will put some of my videos of them from my YouTube Palm Planet channel below. And the La Quinta coconut is looking fantastic! I am fascinated with growing coconuts in marginal places like SoCal, and this just shows that given the right location and care they can look great and are definitely worth trying. I will put two of my videos below of two gorgeous SoCal coconuts I have visited. Thanks again for sharing, love it!
