Noticed this in my yard today. Losing most fronds except the newest and the spear.  The younger is a sprig off the bigger trunk. Makes me think of ganoderma, but there are no conks at the base of the trunk.  Halfway up the trunk there are some suspicious areas on it.  The trunk of the younger sprig is looking kinda shriveled.  Will this spread?  The rest of the palm appears fine.

The "bleeding" spots are a possible symptom of Thielaviopsis.  I have a Pembana clump that was severely burned by 24-25F and frost, and a couple of the trunks got a bud rot and died.  I chopped off those trunks to help avoid spreading the fungus around.  I *think* Thielaviopsos is an upper trunk infection, so it seems less likely to spread from one trunk to another through the trunk and roots.  But I really don't know.  I'd check those trunks for squishiness in the bleeding area and above it and near the crown.  If the trunk is sunken in or easy to squish with hand pressure it's probably already dead and should be carefully cut off and removed.
