The palm is adjusting to full sun. It got some burn leafs but the new fronds are opening fully adopted to full blazing sun 😃

Yes Dave they have sprouted in the past using the baggy method .  I gave away both seeds and sprouts and I think there may even be a seedling or two at it's base.

I don't recall Dave.  I put them ziplock in aluminum foil then set them on the water heater for weeks or months.

The ziplock contains sphagnum moss, a little perlite, moisture and seeds.  I wrap the ziplock in aluminum foil so the plastic isn't in direct contact with the warm metal on top of the water heater.  It's like an aluminum burrito instead of a flour 🌯 burrito.   You can order anything you want inside a burrito these days, the combos seem to be unlimited.

Our little plants can’t compare with the beautiful specimens in this thread, BUT we have three leaves all opening up at the same time which is a record for us. I think the biggest one will start trunking soon, maybe next year. I posted recently about removing a stem which was poorly placed, and I did but it is throwing out so many new stems that I’ve decided to leave it alone. It’s clearly happy in the fog zone.

Still on the hunt for a REALLY weepy oni. A fellow Palmtalker was kind enough to give me seeds of his very weepy one, but I'm not great at seeds... and no action as of yet. Hopefully soon though.  🌱🤞

I did spot this possible weepy this morning though.  It had no label, but looks like it might be onilahensis. It was quite expensive though, so I would only buy it if you guys can attest that it's indeed an oni, and specifically one that's "off the charts" on weepiness. Thoughts?

We are having some significant plaster work done in the immediate vicinity of our onilahensis, so I bought this surround. It’s not strong enough to resist any real abuse but I hope it will serve as a signal to the workers that the plant is not to be messed with 😃

This looks more "weepy" than the one I bought from JM recently. Looks good to me!
