Hi everybody,

Does anybody know what type of palm tree these are?

I’d love to have one in my living room.

Thanks in advance

Looks like a Chambeyronia Macrocarpa group but at the same time they look like Adonidia Merrillii

Sickly A. merrillii, I’d say.

Thanks for the replies. I do have two A. Merrillii’s already but they don’t have a trunk yet. I hope they’ll become like that one day, despite being indoors. I also hope they won’t look that sick indeed 😅

In my palm infancy I grew adonidia indoors in apartments just fine. I tried other palms like majesty etc. but adonidia did the best for sure. Most of the others I tried got mealy bugs and other indoor low air flow maladies.

Common name is Christmas Palm Tree. The crown has collapsed on one, with others looking rough. Plenty of sun, heat, water and humidity make this palm look great. I would keep a mist bottle near by if you plan on growing it indoors, Palm foilage spray would help a ton too.
