Split main branch on a triple adonidia palm tree

I have a triple adonidia palm that was in a large 20" pot that became root bound and cracked the pot and fell over.  The smallest of it's single branches got cracked.  It is still half attached and seems strong.  Can it be mended and kept alive to grow or should the entire trunk be cut off?  I don't know how to attach photos from my computer to this post.

@Larry Gomez pictures would definitely help.  If you can upload photos to a PC you can drag-and-drop into the text editor window or click the "choose files" in the post text editor.  I think you can do it from a phone directly, but I haven't tried it.

As far as the plant, there's no "healing" a palm tree.  The Adonidia are three individual plants in one trunk.  So you can safely remove one it it is dying or severely damaged.  If the trunk is cracked or split vertically, it might not matter other than cosmetically.  If it's bent in half like the below picture, it's probably not going to survive even if you strap a stake to it:

If it is just one bent frond, which seems like what you were saying, then you can safely trim off that one frond and just leave the rest.

Thanks for that info.  I was able to cut that trunk off at the root level and still have a nice double adonidia palm.  Appreciate you taking the time to respond.  THX again.
