After only two years in the ground, this variegated P acaulis double is now flowering.  Several of my other Phoenix are, too.  How can I tell this early if these are male or female?

That is excellent because my Phoenix canariensis is currently pushing female flowers and a P. acaulis x canariensis would be a weird hybrid.
