Here are pictures of my needle in spring and one taken last month. It's south facing and was boxed in with xmas light hook to a thermocube. 

I did trim it a little here and there✂️😃

If it makes it a few more winters you’ll have a monster in the making. I really had no idea how massive they can get until the last few years, my biggest one is roughly 8 feet tall by 9-10 feet wide. Going to dominate that corner of your house

Here are recent pictures, from December 2023.

I've switched heat source to 100 incandescent lights. It's less aggressive than c9 bulbs.

So, it looks like styrofoam boxing and incandescent lights? Fully boxed? Can you share the details of your protection package.
