I need some help confirming the ID of two palms in south Florida.  I will describe one in each post.

This palm is about 30' tall, solitary.  This picture was taken earlier this week, and as you can see, it's producing fruits this week.

Here is a picture of the base of the trunk.

Here is a picture of the red fruits.  I have a tape next to them for scale.

Is this a Adonidia merrillii?

The next one is also a solitary palm about 30' tall.

It is also producing fruits at this time.  The flowers that dropped last month was white in color.

Are these Ptychosperma elegans?

Correct, Adonidia Merrillii and Ptychosperma Elegans.

Thank you.

I have previously assumed they are the same kind until I noticed the differences in the fruits.

If the palms were not producing fruits, is there another way to tell the two apart?
