I noticed these from the CVS parking lot today….  Anyone want to venture an ID?   Copernicia brittonorum? perhaps.   They have sparsely spiny petioles.  A bit undernourished.

I was thinking that, but it looks so sparse and anemic in comparison.  Maybe not enough feeding.
