Would you say this is columnaris?

And this Excelsa (Heterophylla)?

There´s an A. Araucana behind it. And it´s got cones at the top.

One of the easiest ways to pick out an Araucaria columnaris is that they all lean toward the equator outside of habitat.  The photo you provided appears to show some lean but you will be able to identify it next time you are in proximity to this tree.

Interesting observation there!

The first Araucanía is leaning little bit towards the south, but I think it is because of high winds from the northwest three years ago, but I'm not sure. It is growing in sandy soil

I didn't pay attention to those growing in the Canary Islands and Andalucia by the dozens, but I do remember that columnaris were as stiff as a match.

I'll watch that fact from now on.

Thanks.

@guruguWhere is this.growing? I'm wondering if mine will be fine here since the Norfolk Island pines do well here.

They are all over the northern coast of Spain. I don´t know yet  if it is Columnaris, but it looks like it. I´ve got one in a pot, quite small yet that I´ll plant next Spring. I think they are very similar terms of growing needs, so I do would advise you to plant it outside if you haven´t got any problem with Excelsa (Heterophylla). The larger, the better, as always.

Good luck
