Hey,

just wondering if this palm can be saved? Was replanted last august and there wasn’t the greatest care taken when removing as at first it wasn’t going to be salvaged from a building site.

Northern rivers NSW Australia

Cheers

It looks pretty much past it. Archontophoenix of that size do not transplant well. Try flooding the ground around it and keep it sopping wet. They love creeks and river banks and need lots of water to do well especially in summer. If the roots are damaged such as through a transplant you have to treat them like an aquatic plant. If it opens that spear soon, you are going to be OK. If it doesn't it's all over. The second truck with no leaves is already deceased.
