Here is the last of the 6 videos I made on our recent trip to Cuba: Coccothrinax borhidiana in Matanzas.  As you can see it was starting to get dark by the time we got here, but I did get a nice clip of the palms as the sun was setting at the end of the video.

Unfortunately, there seems to be more human activity encroaching on this habitat since the last time people visited and took photos here. Looks like someone had recently built a house right next to the palms and there was quite a bit of trash and fire damage there.

I didn't realize these grow so close to the ocean.  Nice footage.  Very disappointing to hear about the creeping of development into the habitat for this species.
