I got right now six of each growing from seed, Windmill palm, Mexican fan palm, California fan palm, and Date palm. I also have a date seedling and and a bunch of dragon fruit seedlings. The dragon fruit germinate fast.

The date seedling popped about around February 6, I tried growing dates but they didn’t grow after a month so I removed most of them except one, that one sprouted after two months. It grew pretty fast in general after it sprouted.

Here are the rest of my seedlings, they still are seeds but I checked on the dates and one of them have a tiny tail, so I’ll keep the updates coming on all the seeds. They grow in my little diy greenhouse.

Nice haul! I do not think those are pindo seeds in your pic. They look more like Trachycarpus maybe.

Don’t be too quick to give up on seeds. Palms can and do take many weeks, months, even years to germinate.

No I'm still growing them, but before I started this little palm nursery, I planted a couple date seeds in november in a small pot. They all got mold and I threw them out. I forgot to get one that barely had any mold, it just sat there in the soil until, two or three months later it sprouted in February.

They definitely do not. I could be wrong though. Also those are not trachy seeds, I have a couple trachy seeds in a baggie for possible later use.

The date seedling might be in trouble! The little bare rooted seedling still had a connection with the seeds it came out of. But the connection partially snapped. The little date seedling might be in trouble but I think it will survive. @Allen, you've helped me a lot, so you have any thoughts about the date seedlings wether it might suffer or not?

Unless you forcefully separated it, the old seed does normally come off.

Lots of people on here are better growing from seed than I am and I don't know a lot about date seeds.

They had dried fruit/flesh on it, so maybe pindo or trachy seeds. I ordered my seeds from amazon. But I bought like pindo seeds for like three bucks so maybe those are the seeds. I ordered my trachy seeds a while ago and they come in a little bulb shape. I think those either way could be trachys but the seeds are bigger than the trachy seeds. I will try to grow them and I will use some things to speed up germination.

Neither image is mine, both have been posted somewhere on the forum previously. This should help you identify what the seeds actually are.

Mk, the seeds look more like T. Fortunei "Tesan" seeds, but yeah they are T. Fortunei seeds.

Good news, It is snowing here but it is 40 degrees outside. Most of the date seeds have sprouted, and I’m a couple weeks away until the last frost date.

Usually the last frost date is in April and sometimes may, and landscaping season for me is coming!

Update: All date seeds have a little root now, other palms seeds have not sprouted yet, and I’m planning to buy Sabal “Oregon” hybrid.
