The great Christmas palm phenomenon. Hopefully someone comes along with answers. I can’t find anything online. Including wind or freeze.

Also happened to a 25' livistona decora that was hammered by IAN.  IF the spear is fractured, it will have an early death regardless of application of fungicides.    Hurricane damage can take a while to fully manifest itself.   Might be that adonidias tend to get planted out in the wind and have a weak bending strength.  My livistona saw heaviest winds(maybe 97mph), and was exposed in a clear path from the windward side.

Formerly in Gilbert AZ, zone 9a/9b. Now in Palmetto, Florida Zone 9b/10a??

The good news is the spears stopped shearing, have been vigorously producing at the fastest pace I’ve seen, and 7 of 9 have flowered for the 1st time.
