Just trying to get the best deal and quality on these. Etsy, amazon, Ebay all have them. But some get poor reviews as being too thin.

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.

Yep.. and you don't have to buy the suggested, larger quantities either.  They also offer tubes ( my personal favorite ) and the trays they sit in. Need to order a couple Forestry Trays from them ( for grasses / Agave, etc )

I got a big crop for this summer, need to figure out something modular. Milk crates work, but IDK, I'd better go browse...

That or one could make  some sort of holder.. Someone in Vista had shared pictures of a few trays he'd made from scratch awhile back ( Think he was using tubes ).. Set up looked very nice, and seemed pretty straight forward... Considered duplicating the idea, though i do like the plastic trays also.

Milk crates work okay for the square/tall Steuwe pots, like 4x4x14.  They are okay for 3x3x9 too, but not sturdy enough for the really big 6x6x16.  The only disadvantage is that the milk crate plastic isn't UV stable, so it degrades and gets brittle in a year or two.  If you don't try to pick up the crate + pots together they'll probably be alright for several years.

Steuwe pots are definitely durable, the only ones I've trashed were ones I had to cut open to get the plant out, and one that a mouse/rat chewed through half the pot to get to the plant.  They are pretty tough and reusable.

I used to buy from Greenhousemegastore, but they got bought out and doubled their prices.  If you don't need a lot of them, it might be worth checking out their prices.
