I love these palms and I have a few (too many) myself but unfortunately what's done is done as I'm not willing to do anything about it at this stage. Nothing I can do but just watch 'em blow up and enjoy the big wavy frond. I guess worse things could happen.....

Crack cement just as as I did for the filibustas 10 years ago which were in its stead.

The long term game plan is…….there is no long term game plan. As @Billysaid, roll with it. I have 1 or 2 that aren’t the best plantings knowing full well it will require removal. So stupid….. :crying:

It is a bit like planting a Caryota.   You know it will eventually have to be extracted.  Enjoy while you can.

yeah we all plant palms that end up having to be removed.  But a big one can be scary.  You can stunt it by limiting fertilizer and water and over trimming it.  But these are big palms if in full sun.IMG_9186.thumb.JPG.e26f4312837165675d670d57c37a6f19.JPG

That kind of puts it in perspective….  @GottmitAlex, do you ever think about tossing in some of those Dypsis species the do well in Cali, but we can’t grow in Florida?   That’d be top of my list if I ever lived out that way.

Not my palm but I asked and if I remember correctly it was planted 10 years ago. Not sure from what size it was planted out though.....
