These were collected as souvenirs/playthings for my kids in SW Florida during a vacation a couple of years ago. I had no expectations that they would sprout but we found them growing in the backyard so I transferred them into pots. Hoping someone can properly ID these for me. Thanks in advance for any input you may offer!

How large is the nut?

5 year high 42.2C/108F (07/06/2018)--5 year low 4.6C/40.3F (1/19/2023)--Lowest recent/current winter: 4.6C/40.3F (1/19/2023)

The nuts are roughly 6” x 4”, and plants are anywhere from 1.5’ to 3’ tall.

My first thought is Golden Malayan but who knows without DNA analysis. Coconuts share DNA freely

I'd say you have a golden Malayan dwarf.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking Gold Malayan too, based on the color.  You mention “dwarf”. I’m wondering if that is based on the size of the coconut or some other characteristic?
