Araucaria Angustifolia Seed

Does anyone in the united states have access to seed for Araucaria angustifolia? I'm looking for pure seed or Araucaria araucana X angustifolia. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money because these would be experimental in my region. I'm also interested in Araucaria araucana seeds.

I have a male in my yard, but no females anywhere.  He's very lonely, LOL.

Great specimen. Any Araucaria araucana females down wind? How does your tree react to heavy rains? How long have you had the tree and what is its footprint?

I haven’t seen any other Araucaria anywhere near here.  Florida is too hot and humid for A. araucana.  Heavy wind and rain makes lower branches drop like crazy.  I’ve had it for about 15 years, and I don’t know what you mean by its footprint.

Sorry, I meant, how much area does it occupy?

I don’t know, maybe you can judge by the picture better than me, lol.  It drops lower limbs if you blow on it though, haha!  I hope it grows out of that stage.  It starting coning a few years ago.  I used to have 3 of them, but lost one in the pot and gave another one away.

Amh, did you ever find some seeds? I'm looking for some as well. It looks like these people in the Netherlands have them available

https://onszaden.com/Araucaria_angustifolia

They state that they might ship to the USA. I wrote them an email and am waiting on response. I'll keep you posted.

By the way, has anyone had any luck buying seeds from overseas? If they do ship them these would be my very first time buying seeds from Europe.

I was unable to find a domestic source of seeds, so I bought a few plants. I was hoping someone on the board would have a source, so that I could buy a cone or two, but there were no bites. I have had no issues buying cycad seeds from Europe, but shipping can be cost prohibitive.  You may want to contact @matthedlund at Wanderlust Nursery for plants.

I've got about a dozen plants on hand now in one gallon pots. They're not listed yet, so you'll have to message me.
