Mine is about that size and looks about the same as well. Minimal protection here (just south of you). I really covered it for about 5 days during the Christmas blast. After it was pretty much uncovered except for a few nights. Got covered a couple of weeks ago because we've had so much rain then temps dropping into mid-teens. That was more preventative for rot than for cold.
