I was under the impression that Jubaea doesn't do well in FL, although I'm not sure why. I'd be very interested if anyone is selling Jubaea x syagrus or J x butia tho

Yes, many have tried and many have failed growing true Jubaea to sizable height worthy of mentioning here in Florida. 

Mine is nearing twenty years old, with the last seven being in ground here in Jacksonville.  So far no signs of slowing down on the grown....
