I visited a stand I've had my eyes on for a while yesterday, it's on what used to be an old cultivated wadi which is now blocked off by industrial development (in SE Spain). They were quite beautiful palms so I though I'd share.572588165_IMG_20230424_1427152.thumb.jpg.4c79bd1dfa1232d97494f4f444e083a7.jpg341558304_IMG_20230424_145627_12.thumb.jpg.924ff8a255036796a9c2701b18566ec1.jpg678856476_IMG_20230424_145200_12.thumb.jpg.7301061b3ac7076fb9bc6ae13930a318.jpg351023170_IMG_20230424_150625_12.thumb.jpg.4c353da3ab96583c5da3fc88ce5fc6f6.jpg109580442_IMG_20230424_1506132.thumb.jpg.ecaea43774038e1bf248e626412fffcf.jpg1476406723_IMG_20230424_1506592.thumb.jpg.7d9bf5cac0121d38ad99771109e72e79.jpg1592517783_IMG_20230424_151129_12.thumb.jpg.9379ddc28b687caed5f14a7cc5e45ce8.jpg589310331_IMG_20230424_152800_12.thumb.jpg.97dd81b0d181ce4c8a0c660e5657bd68.jpg

Much morphological diversity between the individuals. First one does seem fitting ideally in to the description of Phoenix iberica, no? Of course with the reservation regardind eventual inflos and fruit/seeds.

Yeah, the seed shape was very diverse too. From what I was able to gather they varied from small (1cm) seeds very similar to reclinata, to massive thick rounded seeds (about 4-5cm long by 2cm thick). There were two females that seemed identical and had the exact same seed shape which were long and rounded (4cm long by 0'5-1cm thick), they seemed to be clonal offshoots of a "select female", where as a lot of the others share a lot of features with wild iberica. I'll try to share some photos of the seeds later.
