Hey, nice! It's always exciting to get first flowers. Are you going to let it seed out?

The darn squirrels or rats usually get mine. The Syagrus they can have, but leave my Livistonas alone!

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.

Thanks!
- Dalmatiansoap, and above all fast. In the first photo, below, in front of the nitida, there is a small palm, it is a L. carinensis of the same age!

- Patrick, there are no squirrels in Sicily, rats yes, of all sizes, who like to live on my palm trees, fortunately my neighbor is a passionate grower of vegetables and fruit trees, and they go to him for lunch 😀.

Wow, the neighbor with the vegetables. Gives new meaning to the word "friends with benefits". I remember now... I tried tomatoes one year and just before the tomatoes were ripe- every time, mind you- the day before I picked the ripe tomato I would go out and there would be a fresh nibble out of my prized fruit. Rats! Haha...
