I' m surprised how fast the leaf sheaths of both the crownshafts of this Dypsis ( Crhysalidocarpus) decipiens are cracking. The crownshafts are probably thickening very fast also.

Im very jealous. I would love to try one here, and if they do well (possibly a big if IDK) i would try to start a breeding program here.  And probably pass it on one day to another conservationist since they are so slow lol.  The little one at Leu gardens looked like it was chugging along so maybe one day!
