I just wanna be sure this is ok, I’ve been planting my washies in a mound sorta but is this too extreme and should I lower it a bit more?

the photos don’t make it appear that bad
but it’s higher than how it was in the pot with exposed roots

I decided to lower it just a tiny bit more and I feel good with it

Unless you put mulch >or something else< over it, a couple good downpours will wash a good amount of it away.  To hold onto the soil for longer -w/out adding anything else ( i'd top it w/ something else anyway ) the mound should be out to where the grass starts..

That said, i personally don't do mounds, preferring water ( and debris )- capturing basins instead.

After the picture I took I dug it down to about the grass line and a trench around it to collect water and I will be putting mulch around the palm to eventually
