What is this weird white thing sprouting out of my King Palm trunk?

I haven't had any luck finding what this is on the internet. "White things growing out of my king palm" search yield Lichens, which this doesn't look like it. My triple trunk palm look otherwise healthy with some patches of dark fungus which I am treating with copper fungicide. What do you think this mysterious growth is? Do trees get cancer?!

Live in San Diego by the ocean.

It's not The Alien hatching, if that's what you're worried about. ;)

Haha 😂 I had no idea that palm trees sprout flowers/fruits!! This is a relief. I was also told that this palm tree that I purchased at Moon Valley was 13-15 years old so it makes sense it's hitting puberty 😆

Treat them nice and kings will look like this in about 10-15 years. These are Archontophoenix tuckeri in my yard, planted back around 2007, from fivers.
