So being a palm nut I dug out what I was told is a Phoenix hanceana Naudi. The owner is a member of the palm society and said he bought it 10 years ago from a 5gal pot at a meeting.

Fronds are about 10-11ft with about 3ft of trunk about 200 pounds.

It has suckers

As far as I am aware of, Kew in the description of the sp P loureiroi writes, that the fronds are up to 2 m (6'6.74'') long.  Your plant has by far longer fronds.  Here is my own plant supposed to be P hanceana grown from seed bought from the 'Seed Lady' I.H.

The palm looks beautiful! I don't have enough experience with the Loureiroi complex to really appreciate its characters though, it looks like an even greener small and clumping canariensis haha. I would love to see photos up close of the base of the raquis with the acantophylls, and the leaflets if you can share!

Look at the thorn length 9in. I had one of these go through my leather gloves and in to my knuckle.

Here are pictures of the loureiroi population in Cat Ba island off the coast of Vietnam. Pictures collected from f/b, where they had been initially posted by visitors of the island. In present case spines look correct reg shape and length but way too robust, as one should expect from a plant of 11 ft long fronds.  Spines on my specimen, which is around 30 y.o., are long, thin and flexible. And I can still remove old fronds with only a good secateur just like I handle roebelenii. No need for a saw. This is a rather practical mean of measuring plant's girth.

I have four offshoots I would sell or trade to anyone in CA around the palm springs area.
