Hello guys, here in Spain we are in the month of July, we are in summer. Of the 2 palm trees, one seems less in need of pruning and the other in the area to the right of the image may need pruning... what do you think? I bought my syagrus 4 months ago and at that time I transplanted them into large pots

Hi,

They don't need pruning. Just water well.

Salut

You don't "prune" palms like you do dicot trees. Cut off fronds after they turn brown. The palm withdraws nutrients from oldest fronds to grow new ones.

How come that you see in those potted specimens a need for pruning?!?

Two most common excuses are

1. Buyers don't like brown leaves. Just read the posts here; anytime a leaf looks less than perfect, people think the plant has an infection.

2. Landscapers want to charge customers. I see the same with oak trees at shopping malls; excessive trimming.

Nope, nothing wrong with those at all.  Occasionally you'll get a dead leaflet or two, especially after transport and repotting.  If you are really concerned about the couple of dead leaflets, you can always snip them off with a scissors.  But that's purely cosmetic.  I also would not recommend cutting off any of those fronds.
