Hello, fellow palmies!

This solitary crownshaft palm has me stumped. The leaflets have very long, thin tips which, on the newer leaves, form what looks like a cord, stringing all the tips together along the outline of the leaf.

I posted these pics in the "What caught your eye today" topic, but did not see any replies. Maybe if I create a new topic for it.

Any palm experts here know what this palm is called?

Location: Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida USA

This is Dictyosperma album for sure, not sure which subtype, but it’s very old.   These grow very well here, and you see them in residential plantings on occasion.

Thanks, everyone! Based on the Palmpedia page, it looks like it's Dictyosperma album.

The leaflet edges are absolutely this palm.

Very interesting! I need to keep an eye out for more of them.

The leaflet tips are a dead giveaway when comparing to Palmpedia's images. But the leaves on the one I saw are not as long and the crown not as wide as you can see below. Do you think that might be that it's simply not getting the nutrients it needs?
