I've heard that lipstick palms can grow in water, is that true ? Could I grow them in this aquarium as seedlings ? The aquarium stays at 24 degrees Celsius all year round. I would put a light for the palm.

I have been growing mine in a pond with the rootball about 50-70% submerged in water. The water is usually near or above 27 degrees Celsius. It definitely grows faster when the water is warmer than when it’s cooler and faster than before it was placed in the pond.

I'm guessing from what looks like lava rock and sand that you keep rift lake cichlids in there, in which case it might not be ideal as the pH will be rather high, around 8 or more, and the sand will buffer it constantly. C. renda grows in swamps/wetlands/small streams and so on which are relatively acidic. This might not matter, but, on the other hand, it might cause nutrient deficiencies. No harm in trying, though.

Yes, I have African cichlids. The ph on the water Is 7.6 its a bit high. How can I improve nutrients? I'm gonna buy some C. Renda seeds soon and germinate them how much do they take in germinate? Can I grow C.Renda in artificial light?
