A job done very professionally well done I can see how important you’re palms are to you in a cool climate zone subtropical and tropical zones we kinda get spoilt for choice where as in the cold zones palms seem to be a challenge to grow and are highly prized specimens to have not that a well grown Joey palm is no different in the subtropics but we have the climate for more choices where as it’s a bit different in the cold

Here are some new photos I took yesterday. It still looks rough, but I think the spear that was growing when I dug it out is slowly coming along. It’s hard to tell, but it looks like it is. I should draw a line on it just to see its progress.

I also got it to straighten out from what it originally looked like. Even without the rope, it sits up pretty straight, but I’m not taking that off until I know that it’s pushing growth and heading in the direction I want it. 😂

It's always exciting to see its progress, especially when I haven't checked on it in a while since I wasn't home. It really went to work with the new fronds! It's also interesting to see where it was in the beginning with the really big lean, and it has pretty much corrected that along with the help of my ropes. It's fully rooted in, and I could probably take the ropes off now, but I don't think it hurts to have the extra security still for strong winds.

It's developing a pretty nice crown, and I can't wait for it to finally grow out of all of its old fronds and have a nice full look. 🤠

@ZPalms looks great!  I would just check the ropes to make sure they don't constrict the growth.  As long as the loops aren't squishing anything I'd leave them in place.

Thanks!!!! When I tied the ropes, I made sure to give them some give for growth, and also they only get tight if the tree needs assistance. The ropes will tighten on the side that needs it more to keep the tree upright depending if it were to lean in any direction, but the rope that was pulling the tree to straighten it up should have loosened up since it’s been moving in that direction. I will check them again to make sure they’re still loosely chilling. 🤠

Keep up the gardening. I admire those in the cold growing palms. I know it’s not easy, cold climate growers must dream of the tropics i know i do.
