Very nice; likewise the Archontophoenix. How does this Licuala handle your winters indoors?

I bag it sometimes for periods of 100% RH.  It also has a dedicated grow bulb 👍🏻❤️ I’ll post when it’s inside 🥰

Yeah my temperature swings in the middle of the country are -40F to 100F plus.  Probably largest gap in the world.

Hi. I just personally transported (in a suitcase!) a small Licuala grandis to my sister in Boston MA (Zone 5-6a) from Florida (9A) . She is an experienced horticulturalist but has not had any luck previously with a palm she loves, L. grandis indoors.  Previous tries she received via mail order. So we’re trying again.  What tips do you have for her? So far, we determined that maintaining moist soil in plastic pot versus clay is probably best. Next, she is acclimating it using partial shade and it’s outside, but with cool days coming knows that bringing it inside early may be the best strategy.  She has LOTS of sunny window options. What do you recommend as her strategy on lighting? Thanks for the tip on the RH bagging. When and how long would you do that for?
