Planted out a 5g plant last year; took forever to wake up this summer but when it finally did last week, a flower popped out as well

As mentioned elsewhere, younger one planted out front has a few on it too..  Always nice to see all of my children flowering for the first time.

Mine has bloomed more this year than in years past, but on the hottest days the blooms seem to get scorched like I had put them in a microwave oven. At any rate the leaves are growing out fast, and it should be a great looking bush soon.

I felt no need to take any shots of atrophied blooms, that I assumed were another type of heat casualty. In fact the good looking ones were also ignored because there are so many on the web already.
