ADVICE ON GERMINATING QUEEN PALM SEEDS (Syagrus romanzoffiana)

Hey there! today I've got some fresh queen palm seeds from a queen palm in my city more a less 100 seeds. I have never germinated queen palm seeds, how should I do it? how long do they take to germinate? should I take the fruit flesh off?

Yes, first you have to clean the fruits. ( As a child, when my cousins and I went out on horses for a day through our campos and forests, we also chew on a couple of fruits to lessen the hunger. The fruit flesh is very sweet and sticky, one of the reasons the "jerivá" palm is also called " baba-de-boi" or " ox drool" 😀 So... better to use a knife, you'll get sick of the sweet taste after  the fourth or fifth fruit.) After cleaned you can bury them 1 cm below a good draining soil in a pot.  Maintain the soil humid and at temperatures around 25- 30⁰C they will germinate in a few months.

That's a nice story, I heard that they were eadible and they were actually pretty nice so I'm gonna try some. I'm gonna put the in containers with coco coir and perlite, and temperatures will be 30-22 or more.
