I’m certain they will handle temps in the teens for extended periods once they have some size. If you plant out a small one there is certainly a chance you’ll get spear pull in the early stages, however if you treat with a fungicide you should have no issues with it growing back. I’ve planted out many palms as 1-3gal and have encountered my fair share of spear pulls. I treat and they usually all come back. Several of the palms pictured had spears pull this past winter. I experienced a cold wet winter with extended periods below freezing.
