Will Phoenix Reclinata grow along the Texas Gulf Coast?

Specifically Corpus Christi but is anyone growing the Senegal Date Palm anywhere in Texas?

I really like the tropical looks of this pinnate clustering Palm and it looks to be cold hardy to about 20 degrees.

I know of one here in corpus, at least reclinata is the closest ID I can come to for it, it survived both freezes but lost some of the trunks, didn't look like it had a lot of trunks to begin with but it's down to 1 or 2 tall trunks now and a whole bunch of newer trunks at the bottom.

Corpus Christi, TX, near salt water, zone 9b/10a! Except when it isn't and everything gets nuked.

Interesting, thanks for the reply could you PM me the cross streets or address so that I can go look at it?

@Dwarf Fan If you would like to try Phoenix reclinata, mine are just about ready to come off the vine so to speak.  Mine are heavily clustering and likely hybrids with one of the more hardy Phoenix (canariensis/dactylifera/sylvestris).  You're welcome to have the seeds before the squirrels decide where to plant them in my yard.  Just send me a PM and let me know where to send them when they're ready.  I anticipate they will be ripe after Labor Day sometime.

I recall seeing one in Flour Bluff and there are some down here in the RGV.  There was one on the Riverwalk in San Antonio but most if not all of the trunks were killed in Palmageddon.
