Kawika,

Great shots! Almost feel like I'm there...! :D  I especially liked the first shot of Waikiki - it's pretty easy to identify just about all the important buildings and hotels in Waikiki Beach!

And for those who're not familiar with Hilo: on both photos in Post #5, Coconut Island (Moku Ola in Hawaiian) is clearly visible, especially in the second photo, where the foot bridge leading out to the island is also easy to see. The large, somewhat crescent shaped, building to the right of the bridge is Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, which served as the main hotel during the IPS Biennial in May 2004. And to its immediate right it's easy to see all the large banyan trees that line Banyan Drive. Almost all of them were planted around 1935-1937.

Thanks Bo now we're on to the palms! Your garden pics will be coming soon but there are so many to go through first. Around the Big Island I saw a lot of gorgeous palms including these Areca vestiaria's and Dictyosperma album's  :;):

I was waiting for one of Jeff Marcus's workers to lead me to his nursery at a small store in Kurtistown and took a look around...
