Put a tray of thourasii in today just got to wait now there a tough cycad so perfect for my garden

There's Cycas thourasii growing near the Darwin airport and sometimes with seed. I've always meant to stop and grab some but never got around to it. Pretty sure it's thourasii, but definitely not the local one.

Definitely worth grabbing them especially if for free the best plant is one that you propagate yourself what other cycas seeds can you get in sunny warm Darwin iam interested in some other Australian cycas seeds to purchase cheers

@happypalms it looks like your mix is perlite + small pine bark chunks.  Is that correct?

Yes that is correct with a little coarse sand from freshwater rivers as you know it’s all about drainage the mix usually last 3 years by that time it’s potting up time it’s difficult to get bulk soil mix’s I get 6 cubic meters each order trucked in from about 120 kms away it’s worth it
