One of my queen palms oldest/lowest frond yellowed rather quickly. I did fertilize it a week ago (picture below), don't think I did to much as I use that on my other 8 queens. It gets plenty of water. It may just be a frond at the end of its life cycle but I don't recall any of my other queens turning this yellow.

So I cut the yellowing frind off once it turned brow and crispy. I now have another one (lowest frond) yellowing. It seemed to turn rather fast, like over a two week period. I planted several queen palms and only has shed a frond and took close two months. Hopefully this is normal but seems abnormal to me I guess. Thanks again.

Perfectly normal. A healthy fast growing Queen palm will have several old fronds die off in a year’s time.
