Just a reminder that typing the address into Google doesn't always put you in the correct location in this instance.  The bulk of folks attending have been to this garden before, so there shouldn't be as much confusion as the first meeting.  A map for reference showing the exit on I-95 and the route from exit 298 to the site:

Probably wouldn't hurt to pack an umbrella just in case as well:

We've received an update from Dr. Rossi that the gardens experienced heavy rains overnight and the Grand Opening will be postponed to October 14th.

The gardens will still be open today for those who wish to visit, but you should bring an umbrella and gear to deal with soggy soil.

Even with the Grand Opening being rescheduled, it was good to see @Scott W, @MikeB, and @edbrown_III today.

That palm does look like Gaussia to me could be princepts?

It was definitely labeled Gaussia, but I don't remember which epithet.  Gaussia princeps is a good take on it.  I'd have taken my time and got all the names, but I had to leave early.

After a conversation with the CFPACS President, the plan to host a booth, sell T-shirts, tour the gardens, and assist folks with questions is still the plan for this date.  This is just a re-schedule due to rain.  CFPACS is still covering entrance for our members.  Please feel free to PM here or email cfpacs.membership@gmail.com with any questions or concerns and we'll respond as soon as we are able.

For those planning on going, it may be a rainy day on the 13th and 14th.  There is still plenty of time for the forecast to change, but keep the umbrella handy.
