Anyone know what happened to these two massive Chilean Wine Palms?

According to the caption these two Chilean wine palms were once "Flanking the gate to Lotusland, Santa Barbara, California, in the early 1900s."

The garden was started in the 1880s, but it didn't become Lotus Land until 1941. I believe it changed hands twice before that. They still grow some of the largest wine palms in SoCal.

Here's Lotusland last November in Google Street View.  The perspective on the photo is very different, but could they be the same palms?

And nope...wrong ones?  Here's the same ones from the photo, I think...but they haven't grown much in height in ~80 years.  Maybe it's the above photo from a different entrance on the South side?

No reason to believe they aren't still there!

And it looks like the next generation is growing beneath them.
