Zone 9 Seedlings

Looking to purchase volunteers that they would otherwise be disposed of.  Having moved from west to east coast, I would like to rebuild my obligatory "Palms I can't grow in my zone" collection.  Mostly Z9 palms that aren't terribly fussy and make decent house plants in winter that can sit on the deck in summer.

I'll gladly pay $20 or 30 for a handful of seedlings and shipping.  Ebay and etsy are letting me down this year, I'm not wanting to pay "market prices" of $30 per seedling plus another $20 shipping for a single seedling, for common palms.  Some staples from my previous container ranch that I'd like to replace:

Allagoptera, Archontophoenix,  Arenga, Caryota, Ptychosperma, Syagrus, Phoenix reclinata, Wodyetia

And of course I am always looking for something exotic and new.  Would be happy to send $20 or $30 for a handful of seedlings to cover shipping and your time.  Thank you.

Hey Jesse!

First of all, welcome to the Tar Heel State! I'm sure it is quite the jump in climate for you!

I am located to your east, in Carteret County. I've been here for a little over a month (originally from the N.C. mountains), and I have had the opportunity to collect seed from a variety of palms.

Not sure if it would interest you, but I have fresh Butia Odorata seeds that I harvested towards the end of last month. I also have some seed from a nearby Sabal Causiarum I collected about a week ago. Just let me know!

Happy Friday the 13th!

@MrTropical thanks.  I got a bunch of Butia seedlings from one local here.   Where did you find a causiarum?  I didnt think they would be ok anywhere here, not even the coast. I need to get down to the coast and do some exploring.
