This sylvestris or at least that’s my guess has been here since moving in two years ago. It has put on a lot of growth and rarely has any dead fronds to clean up. I’d say about a month ago I noticed a few dead fronds and thought maybe it has just been hot and dry here in central Florida. Then the fronds started browning and drying up quick!

When I went out to survey the damage today it’s moving higher, although the growth point looks okay.  I found were it had grown some advantageous roots and they are all mush. Soil is not bone dry but does not stay wet or get irrigation regularly.

I’m afraid I already know what the problem is but wanting a second opinion. Thinking LB or some kind of wilt.
