Hi folks

I have a 15G I want to plant about 12” behind this wall…is such close proximity going to cause  growth issues?

Thanks!

Totally fine, as long as it's not in full blazing sun!  Flamethrowers tend to get...er...torched if you do that.  :D

Thanks Arthur - so the area I have in mind gets about 2-3 hours of direct afternoon sun- filtered light the rest of the day. It was living in only filtered light at the nursery. Is direct sun ok if it’s that short a time?

I'm not sure about LA temps and heat.  I had some here in full sun and they did ok with our high humidity and max temps around 100F.  Mine died from frost and crown rot, which you shouldn't have to worry about.  If I had to guess, I'd think a couple of hours of sun and all else filtered sun would be okay.  One PTer had them in full AM sun in Miami and they got burned to a crisp next to a highly reflective white wall.  Hopefully some CA people will chime in on sun exposure.
