Hey, for some reason my queen palm looks a bit too droopy. How can I fix this?

Hmmmmm, the only time I've seen this with my Syargus or Butia is when they had a crown issue and eventually suffer spear pull.  What's the latest spear growth look like???

Planted it in Spring 2021 it was looking great the first year, I will upload some pictures of how big it was when planted and how it looked in the first summer. Watering in summer every 2 days, in spring every couple of days, and in fall every couple of days too, in winter I hardly water it, rain is enough really.

I will upload some pictures from the crown later, and I will upload pics of a different angle too. I already checked if there was spear pull, but it was pretty solid. It might be a nutrient deficiency? the palm is planted in a shady area, I thought that it would be a stretched out queen palm looking for sun, but it's the contrary.

I regret planting a queen palm, I think that archontophoenix alexandrae would look nicer.  20230928_130029.thumb.jpg.71d97cacd0db95f5c458baeccd47ed6e.jpg

Looks like it's growing out of an earlier problem.

Ok. Perhaps i can get others’ opinion on my ‘stuck’ Queen.

I planted this tree in March 2022 at much the same height she is now but very full - perhaps 6 - 8 fronds. One by one, she would lose a frond a month, growing only a few which I chalked up to getting established. She grew a little from May/June 2022 to October 2022. Fertilizer and chelated iron were applied in late summer 2022 and fertilizer again in early December.  Then After the bad 2022 christmas freeze, she seemed to stop growing fronds. One mistake i think we may have made was removing the two lowest trunk bowls , or whatever you call them, in the spring because they really looked like they were separating away from the trunk and about to fall away (indicating there was growing happening).  You can see on the picture the exposed green truck where they were removed.  The tree has received all of the nourishments and watering - 3X per week plus sprinkler 2X per week as all of my other very robust palms. She hasn’t changed from looking like this all this year long. I keep thinking with the 4 feeds.yr and really regular watering at some point she will just bust loose.   It took me a long time to convince myself to plant one because it’s not my favorite palm, so I really hoped to ave selected a healthy specimen. Any thoughts on my pitiful looking Syagrus romanzoffiana??

It's still of a manageable size to dig up and move, or remove... just saying....

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.

It looks like something has happened to it like disease or the crown is dying or dead and the fronds are just slowly giving away.  I'd remove it and get something else.
