Mine has no spines on the trunk. The trunk is exactly the same as Sabal yapa mentioned above.

The range is good too.

The 1st one is Sabal yapa and if the second palm has spines it must be Cryosophila stauracantha

You got it. Nailed both. I m posting a couple more pics of the Cryosophila stauracantha.

It’s nice to know what they are to study further and possibly get seeds.

I owe you an apology. I said mine had no spines but i did put a pic of a trunk with spines from another tree.

I think another person is right, it is Cryosophila stauracantha.
